This is a lovely picture of our beloved Kobi, my mom’s dog. Kobi is an athlete, a ball crazed track star. He loves to play fetch more than anything in the world. Kobi is also a very talkative boy, he loves to greet his friends with a long wooooo. You would think he’s part hound.
We did lots of walking along this country road. It lead right through our campsite and ended at a small waterfall where the lake turned into a river. Very pretty. Marley walked the road as if he was guarding it.
Marley
Here’s a photo of Marley on the beach.. not smiling for the camera.
cool blues
The sky turned all colours of the rainbow that night. It was remarkable.
Big waves
The lake had a very strong mind that pushed us in the opposite direction from where we wanted to go. We ended up on a lovely sandy beach though, so everything turned out great.
This life jacket that we bought is awesome. The handle is fantastic, I just grabbed Anabelle in and out of the canoe. It’s a Outward Hound Dog Life Jacket
Fortunately we got out onto the water before the rain started… since it’s been raining for most of July here in Ontario. We went to the Achray region of Algonquin park. This is Grand Lake.
Sunset on Grand Lake
It was a very lovely day. This was Marley and Anabelle’s first time in a canoe. They were awesome. Marley seemed to understand how important it was to stay still… he barely moved!
It’s been so long since I updated my blog here, I’m feeling rather guilty. I have good reason though! Our family is expecting to expand! As we speak Marley in staying at a friends house, and little Anabelle is resting in her welping box. We are waiting for her little toy poodle puppies to be born! It’s a very exciting time!
Look what we discovered the other day… our darling little canary Herbie, swimming and splashing in the dog’s water dish. He made quite a mess too, flapping his wings in the water.

Your Dog Can Sense Your Emotions. Really!, Tomek Naster Photo
A study published in the U.K.’s New Scientist reveals dogs exhibit “left gaze bias,” which suggests dogs can detect human emotions by looking at the face.
This is a simply wonderful collection of heart warming stories of hero dogs. My favorite being Ginny, the cat loving rescue dog, who saved the day for many unfortunate felines.
Other amazing stories are Kankuntu , the pirate fighting dog, Zoey, the snake charming chihuahua, and Katrina , the dog who saved a drowning man in the hurricane barring her name. Hero Doggies.
